Application & Reaction Time

Swimming Pools:

For pool water that is cloudy or contains fine debris:

1. Dosage: Use 50-100 grams per 10,000 litres of water.
2. Application:
   • Pre-dissolve the granules in a bucket of water.
   • Evenly distribute the solution across the pool surface.
3. Circulation: Run the pump for 2-4 hours to disperse the flocculant.
4. Reaction Time: Within 4-6 hours, particles will begin clumping and settling.
5. Removal: After 12-24 hours, vacuum the settled debris from the bottom of the pool.

Important: Keep filtration off during the settling period to prevent disruption of the flocculation process.

Dams, Ponds & Large Water Bodies:

For treating large volumes of water with high sediment loads:

1. Dosage: Apply 500 grams – 2 kg per 1,000,000 litres, depending on turbidity.
2. Application:
   • Broadcast granules are directly over the surface or pre-mixed in water and applied evenly.
   • Use aerators or gentle mixing to assist in distribution.
3. Reaction Time: Clumping starts within 6-12 hours, with full sedimentation in 24-48 hours.
4. Removal:
   • Sediment can be dredged, pumped out, or left to compact at the bottom.

For best results, test a small area before full-scale application to optimize dosing.

Industrial & Wastewater Treatment:

For clarifying process water or treating effluent before discharge:

• Dosage: Site-specific – depends on contamination levels and treatment system.
• Application: Compatible with sedimentation tanks, mechanical separation, and filtration systems.
• Reaction Time: Typically 4-12 hours for initial coagulation, with full settling in 24-48 hours.
